Term 1 Week 7 Reflection

We are now considering to do a simple puppet show or demonstration on our final presentation instead of an experiment with lego products as we fear that it may be too expensive and may also not really look good. We have also planned the materials that are required to do this demonstration and who are going to provide them. We hope that this will go through smoothly and will not have that much difficulties to face as our exams are nearing and we have to concentrate on them.

Term 1 Week 6 Reflection

Our group, Ace, has finally figured out what to bring for the experiment. We planned to finish the experiment by next week. In this experiment, we will change variables according to the main point of the experiment. In this week, we will separate the job by asking each member of the group to bring specific materials for the experiment. We will also post the survey on the blog next week and the experiment as well. The experiment will be presented in i-movie form. In the experiment, we will use control cars as vehicles and the road as the road. The experiment will show real life consequences as road accidents happen. Please note that the experiment will also include the faults that people did and not only the weather. Taking Stock

What have we done so far?

We have done lots of reflection by each of our group members. We had also decided what topic that we wanted to do for our IPW project. We had also figured out what to do for our project. We had also thought about our survey questions relating to our topic.

What do we want to do next?

Now we are going to do the survey and prepare the materials for our experiment. We had decided to present our work in the form of iMovie.

What have we learnt?

We have learnt a lot about the topic that we are doing for in our IPW project. As we go in depth into our project, we discovered many interesting facts. After that, we will apply both our general knowledge and the interesting facts that we had found to our project.

Term 1 Week 5 Reflection

For this week, we have roughly brainstormed on what are we going to do for our final product. We will be doing 3 things- A survey, experiment & an iMovie presentation. As our topic is "Relationships between road accidents and weather", we will be conducting a survey on a number of people in a fixed area about road accidents during bad weather. We are thinking about the survey questions already so that we can focus more on the experiment and iMovie presentation next week. For the experiment, we plan to take a toy car (Eg. A hot wheels toy car) and test it out of different types of surfaces which are created by the influence of the weather. We will go into more details next week as we fill in the project planner. We will put in all our results and data we get from the experiment into the iMovie to make the final presentation.
