Term 2 Week 4 Reflection

After the whole tiring week of Week 4 in Term 2, we have finally done our report on our project. It can be downloaded from our post named "Term 2 Week 4 Worksheet". As we have already tried our best, we could only write out a total of 2000+ words. As we have no idea left on what else to be put into the report, we have asked our supervising teacher, Mr Ganesh, that if we could stop after we have reached our limit at 2000+ words. We were exhilarated as he told us that the report was fine as 2000+ words was already our limit and hence agreed about us just hitting the 2000+ words in our report. We included details such as introduction of group members' names, acknowledgment of our teachers, survey findings, contents and other stuff to add into our report. Other than the report writing for this week, we have also thought more about our "backup plan" for presenting our keynote slides out live. We will start rehearsing by next week if we have time.

Term 2 Week 2 & 3 Reflections

Week 2 and 3 Reflections
As we have a combined worksheet for Weeks 2 and 3 for our IPW, I and our group member index number 7 have done this reflection together and to post it on the blog as one reflection. Basically, for this week we are trying to improvise more in our final presentation and by adding our group member's names for introduction and some preventive measures that both the government and us citizens should take, we have made our project presentation more interesting. After this, we still have to prepare our oral presentation. As our group so far has only done xtranormal videos to present our project, we still have to assume the worst and prepare if all of the group members in the group have to go out live on the stage to present. If we only have xtranormal videos to support us, we do not think that the judges will be impressed as well, as everything is done in the computer and have no live people to judge on their courage to present and their capability. Hence, we will make the necessary preparations for a backup plan.

Term 2 Week 2 & 3 Worksheet

For this two weeks, we are trying to include more components into our final presentation in Keynote as recommended by our teacher. We have done the main points such as the demonstration and the survey, however, we have not included in some stuff like introducing our group members and as we only demonstrated the effects of road accidents, we have not come up with solutions to prevent these accidents and hence we will include them by these two weeks into the presentation. We also have not included in some significant Xtranormal videos to present the presentation such as in the solutions for preventing road accidents and the introduction of group members. We will quickly sort out all our loopholes in our final product by this two weeks in order to write a detailed and presentable report during Week 4. We hope that through this product, we will further reduce the amount of road accidents that are happening each year to protect innocent lives from being lost.

Term 2 Week 1 Reflection

For this week, as it is the start of Term 2, our turns of writing reflections on the blog will be reset. This means that we will start again by having index no. 5 to do Term 2 Week 1's reflection, index no. 6 to do Term 2 Week 2's reflection, and so on.
We have not done much this week really, as we have already done the survey weeks ago and hence have just shown our results, tabulation and conclusion for this week's worksheet. We will instead use the time we have together to maybe add more xtranormal videos into our final presentation and practice our oral presentation, as we may have both types of presentations, both through the computer's voice and our real live speaking to present our final findings.

Term 2 Week 1 Worksheet

Actually we have already conducted our survey on road accidents during Term 1 Week 10, and have also tabulated the results into a bar graph for analysis using Microsoft Excel. However, we still need to present conclusion for this week's blog post and hence here they are.

Hypothesis
Road accidents happen not only because of bad weather but humans are also at fault too.

Survey Questions
1) Can we prevent road accidents from happening during bad weather? Yes/No
2) Do you think bad weather affects road accidents? Yes/No
3) Do blind spots on roads also cause road accidents? Yes/No
4) Do you think humans are responsible for some of the road accidents? Yes/No
5) Is drink driving related to road accidents as well? Yes/No
6) Do you think using handphones when driving affect road accidents Yes/No
too?
7) Afterall, do you think "human faults" really cause road accidents? Yes/No

Tabulation of results

Conclusion
Almost all of them think that humans also affect road accidents, including the bad weather. However, we cannot conclude and convince everyone that humans do affect road accidents also and hence we have decided to make a simple demonstration next week that will be reflected on our final presentation.

March Holidays

For this holiday week, of course, we didn't just let go of our project and started playing madly, we still had to do our IPW project. Hence, we decided that we meet up at one of our members', Ekaphat's, house, to do our final presentation for our project. We also had to do our music project there together as we were in the same group too. Fortunately for us, there was rain that day and we managed to take some photos of our toy cars with the rain effect for our demonstration for our final presentation, even though we got quite wet. We also included in the transitions and videos required for our Keynote presentation. Soon, we got everything done and went home at around 5pm.
